The history of this building began at the end of the 13th century and was originally a monastery. The building partially withstood the devastating earthquake of 1755.
In the 19th century, the building took on its present appearance with beautiful handcrafted azulejo ceramic tiles.

Trindade Beer Factory in Lisbon - history
In 1294, the Holy Trinity monastery (Convento da Santíssima Trindade) founded in this place. After the earthquake, the monastery (or rather its ruins) acquired in 1836, after the expulsion of religious orders from Portugal, and the building of the Fábrica de Cerveja da Trindade beer factory built in its place.The facade of the Trinidad brewery in Lisbon is decorated with a mosaic panel by the author Luis Ferreira in 1863. The building has reconstructed and expanded several times. There was also a brasserie (Cervejaria Trindade), which still exists today.
