Camilo Beach (Praia do Camilo) is a small, relatively quiet beach in the suburb of Lagos that boasts exciting limestone formations, usually calm waters and a Blue Flag.
From the tops of the cliffs framing the beach, inhabited by numerous seabirds, a magnificent ocean view is dotted with white triangles of sailing ships and scattered rocks near the coast.
The south-facing beach consists of two roughly equal (about 50 meters) sections separated by a broad cliff. Inside it, a tunnel was manually dug, on the walls of which (in addition to numerous autographs) you can see ancient fossils and go through natural crevices.
Praia do Camilo is named after the restaurant of the same name located at the top and is popular, has the necessary infrastructure for recreation and organized parking. A long staircase descends to the water.
