"U Fleku" Brewery Museum & Tours
At the end of the 20th century, or instead, in 1998, a museum was organized in the restaurant's basement. Beer lovers will like it there. In the museum, you can see real taps, boilers, kegs and pistons, with the help of which one of the world's most popular alcoholic beverages is produced.
The most valuable exhibit of the "U Fleku" museum is the smoke oven. It was previously used for drying and toasting malt.
Museum workers tell visitors the history of the creation of beer and the peculiarities of its preparation in different centuries.
You can visit the museum of this institution from Monday to Saturday, from 10.00 to 16.00. It is recommended to make a reservation—entrance fee - 100 CZK.
Tourists regularly visit this place. Here, excursions are conducted for them, and not only to the museum. The main feature of the restaurant is, of course, an operating brewhouse. The guests of the establishment can see with their own eyes the complete process of brewing beer, from the preparation of ingredients to their heat treatment and infusion.
Also, an excursion here necessarily includes watching a short film about the history of "U Fleku". In the end, guests are given to taste the main drink of the establishment and buy souvenirs for memory.

Menu and prices
The "U Fleku" restaurant offers its guests a wide selection of Czech national dishes. The menu includes cold appetizers, first courses, side dishes, second courses, salads, desserts.
Important! Even vegetarians can eat in this brewery. For them, the menu has a separate block with dishes without meat and fish.
This establishment has two specialities that are very popular among foreign tourists:

     1Grilled pork knuckle, served with vegetable puree. The cost is 280 CZK.
     2. Flekovskaya tower. This is a delicious roast duck served with dumplings and vegetables. The cost is 350 CZK.

Among the snacks, the most popular items are:

  • Homemade brawn or beer cheese. The cost is 100 CZK.
  • Drowned or sausages marinated in vinegar. The price is 99 CZK.

Also, a guest can ask for baked cheese, jerky meat, Prague ham, pickled cucumbers, sausages, etc., for beer.
Popular soups in the "U Fleku" restaurant are garlic and cheese. The cost of each of them is 69 CZK.
Dumplings are famous among the side dishes. They offer a wide selection of this Czech national dish: cabbage, potato, mushroom or cheese dumplings. A serving of one such side dish will cost you 49 CZK.

How to get there
Since this establishment is in the central part of the city, it is easy to get to it. Take the metro (yellow line, B) to "Narodni trida" station.
From there, it takes about 4-5 minutes to get to "U Fleku".
