Gubałówka is one of the most recognizable places in Zakopane. Next to Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch, it is the most popular peak overlooking the city. Actually, there is probably no tourist who, being in Zakopane, did not visit Gubałówka. One thing is certain, the views that extend from its peak to the Tatras are really unforgettable. You can see practically the whole panorama of the Polish Tatras and Slovakian parts as well as the Babiogórski range.
Gubałówka rises to a height of 1 126 m above sea level. in the Gubałowski Range located in the north-western part of Zakopane. On the eastern side there is Ząb, which is the highest situated town in Poland, and on the western Butorowy Wierch (1 160 m), the second highest peak of the range. Both peaks are connected with a fragment of the Papal Trail, which Karol Wojtyla once followed.
