#Towers
A huge 112.5-meter structure - the Dome Tower rises above the centre of Utrecht. It is visible from anywhere in the city and is one of its most iconic landmarks. The tower was built in 1321 and stands separately from St. Martin's Cathedral. The tower houses a bell tower - a group of 14 medieval bells with a total weight of 32,000 kilograms. On weekdays, at regular intervals, bells can still be heard from the tower, and on Saturdays, real carillon concerts are held here. Inside there is a special room where visitors can get acquainted with the history of the tower and buy original souvenirs. Climbing up a staircase of 465 steps, you will see a fantastic panorama of the Netherlands, and you can even make out Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the distance.
