The museum is dedicated to the first awakening movement “Atmoda” figures – Skrinda brothers – Benedikts (1869–1947), Kazimirs (1875–1919) and Antons (1881–1918).

The museum offers to see different exhibitions and welcomes students and adults to participate in many thematic programmes. It is possible to taste traditional meal of Latgale “komas” and herbal tea, get acquainted with old crafts and spend time together with craftsmen, hear beekeeper stories and taste local honey. The biggest number of Daugavpils District crucifixes is preserved in Vabole Parish. Information about the “Crucifix Way” excursion route is available in the museum. For the museum programmes pre-order is needed.

The permanent exhibition tells about the life and work of the Skrinda family. You can see exhibitions about the history and the present time of Liksna and Vabole Parish, as well as century old furniture and different objects.
