Cyclops Cave is located on the east coast of Cyprus between Ayia Napa and Protaras and within the National Park area of Kavo Greko (also known as Cape Greco)
You can walk to the natural cave from Konnos Bay, many travel guides say the path is suitable for all abilities but care should be taken with children as the winding paths are uneven and often close to the cliff edge, there are signs along the route which warn of fall danger.
It is worth the walk, however, and adds to the excitement of the discovery once you reach the cave!
The cave is claimed to have been a hideout of the infamous Cyclop, a one-eyed giant who trapped Ulysses and his men, as they struggled to return from Troy to Ithaca, in Homer’s book, The Odyssey.
There are stunning views to enjoy as you approach along the cliff path.
